Abstract

Sudden death and cardiac arrest are more relevant to an increase in cardiovascular disease. Its management includes early pre-hospital care and this requires the training of non-medical staff in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques. Its causes and epidemiology have not been studied in Peru and requires a strengthening of the system of emergencies. Discussed the role that has been playing the Peruvian Resuscitation Council in developing this area of the emergencies and disasters medicine.
